About Choco

Choco is the AI platform for modern food distribution, helping over 30,000 wholesalers process more than a million orders a month, all without manual entry. Their platform captures orders from email, WhatsApp, voicemail, even handwritten notes, and feeds them straight into a distributor's ERP in real time.

Choco's whole model is built on one idea: distributors shouldn't lose hours to admin they could spend growing the business. Naturally, that philosophy doesn't stop at order processing; it extends to how they manage what happens *after* the order ships.

Before Paraglide

Choco's AR team worked out of a shared inbox where reminders, disputes, and routine notifications all landed in the same place. Follow-ups were tracked in manual spreadsheets that fell out of date as the customer base grew beyond what one person could hold in their head, and it was easy for a customer to stop responding without anyone noticing.

With local finance teams running collections across six different countries, each market had built its own process - its own spreadsheet, its own rhythm, its own version of "how we chase invoices here”. Country teams worked largely in isolation, each with its own view of its accounts and little shared visibility across the wider book.

After Paraglide

Choco deployed Paraglide first in two test markets, the UK and Spain, running it alongside their existing process in the US, Germany, and France to measure the difference directly, market against market.

First, the process changed. Instead of six local finance teams each running their own version of collections, Choco was standardised on a single set of Workflows: the same escalation logic, the same follow-up cadence, applied consistently across every market.

That standardisation didn't mean one-size-fits-all communication, though collections run in the customer's own language, in each of Choco's markets, without a local team having to manage that separately.

The results

The impact showed up fast. Within two weeks of going live in the UK and Spain, AR outstanding dropped 34% while the same period in the non-Paraglide markets held flat.

Day-to-day, the change is just as visible as the numbers. The team now sees, at a glance, exactly which step every invoice is in, whether a customer has gone unresponsive, and which promises to pay have been captured and are being followed up on autonomously. Nothing about the customer base lives in a spreadsheet anymore, so nothing depends on someone remembering to check back in.
